We freely admit that there’s been something going on between MACEO PLEX and Kompakt, with the US-bred, Barcelona-based artist signing responsible for that iconic remix of GusGus’ “Crossfade” (KOMPAKT DIGITAL 040) and futuristic prime time banger “Conjure Superstar” (KOMPAKT 306). But that’s been last year, this is the now – as Maceo’s latest floor shaker MIRROR ME so imposingly demonstrates. A cut born to push bass bins and raise hands, this doozie only knows one way: forward ever, backward never. Comes in two distinct flavors – a massive extended version for the full vocal experience featuring Chloé Raunet of C.A.R. fame, and an incentive “Dark Dub” version opting for a leaner and meaner approach with a strong techno feel. Mic drop guaranteed!

Lonya returns to the trails of Tulipa Recordings after his outstanding remix of Summer (Brendon Collins)’s track “Nutriatastic” released last year. Lonya is known for weaving exotic melodies together with stealthy grooves- comparatively packing the excitability of exuberant street theatrics. He has fashioned a reputation that exudes inspiration and devotion to the art of composing techno and house music.

Blat Runner arrives entombed in an blossoming catafalque. Metallic keys parade off of punchy percussion. Excitement ensues as the synths begin to trickle in, easing even unsettled ears into a hypnotic canopy. Frozen is an icy arrow streaming through the azure horizon. Blissful pleasantries swirl within its constellations, warmly billowing with unsettled moments that reluctantly bleed optimism.

Marco Dassi furnishes a version of Blat Runner into a formidable opener. His interpretation is constant and deep, however it cleverly showcases a quirkiness that is particular to Marco’s unique style. Summer (Brendon Collins) repaves Frozen into a mind angling road leading deep into the unexplored subconscious. Unadulterated bass and exotic keys pierce through the barriers. Pysh ends the trip with his classy rendition of Blat Runner. He sprinkles pitched down vocals around the groove and casually shows off his peerless talents behind the board.

Lonya has blazed a path deep into the realms of cunning tech-house music. The compositions explode with talent and craftiness, raining down glowing embers of eerie afterthoughts. Tulipa Recordings gladly welcomes him into the circle.
