John Digweed Live In Cordoba Three months on from his truly historic 5-hour marathon set at the open-air Tres Aguas venue in Cordoba, Argentina at the start of 2012, UK legend John Digweed looks back and then forward as he prepares to share the magic and indulge those not fortunate enough to attend that unforgettable January night.

So unbelievably special was the occasion both for John and the thousands of party-goers who bore witness that on 30th April, the Bedrock head-honcho will release his brand new triple CD package Live in Cordoba, giving Digweed fans across the world the chance to experience and reminisce upon what was, in his own words, one of the best party atmospheres [hes] ever experienced. Complete with two Live Mix CDs (1&2) and a third bonus disc featuring exclusive un-released and most importantly unmixed cuts from Digweeds bag, the Live in Cordoba triple long player captures so exquisitely the innate capacity John has for manipulating and executing sounds and continuously wowing a crowd for hours on end with impeccable record selection.

CD 1 showcases John`s ability to set the mood with grooving house and forward thinking techno tracks with remixes from the likes of Agoria, Martin Buttrich, Robert Babicz, Dominik Eulberg, Stephan Bodzin and Subb_an.

CD 2 sees John shift gears with chunky beats and driving techno from Maetrik, Alljacks, Oliver Lieb, Boys Noize & Erol Alkan, Nick Curly and Guy J, among others.

CD 3 Sees John with his A&R hat on, compiling 10 fantastic, new and unmixed tracks from Sian, Pig&Dan, Dosem and an exclusive remix of Slam`s classic Eterna remixed by John Digweed and Nick Muir.

“I could see from the reaction to my very first record that this crowd was there to party and were totally united under the stars, creating one of the best party atmospheres I have experienced in a long while. I played for over 5 hours and really didn’t want to stop, as I was having so much fun. Fortunately I recorded the set and I hope that this live CD helps to capture some of the energy from such an amazing party. Thanks to everyone who was there for creating such a memorable and special night. “

John Digweed Live in Cordoba will be released on 30th April 2012 on Bedrock Records. Available on 3XCD, Limited 2X 12 Vinyl and Digital Download.

Lonya – Blat Runner / Frozen

2. Lonya – Frozen (Original Mix)
3. Lonya – Blat Runner (Marco Dassi 10am Remix)
4. Lonya – Frozen (Summer (Brendon Collins) Silver Apples Of The Moon Mix)
5. Lonya – Blat Runner (Pysh Remix)

Lonya returns to the trails of Tulipa Recordings after his outstanding remix of Summer (Brendon Collins)’s track “Nutriatastic” released last year. Lonya is known for weaving exotic melodies together with stealthy grooves- comparatively packing the excitability of exuberant street theatrics. He has fashioned a reputation that exudes inspiration and devotion to the art of composing techno and house music.

Blat Runner arrives entombed in an blossoming catafalque. Metallic keys parade off of punchy percussion. Excitement ensues as the synths begin to trickle in, easing even unsettled ears into a hypnotic canopy. Frozen is an icy arrow streaming through the azure horizon. Blissful pleasantries swirl within its constellations, warmly billowing with unsettled moments that reluctantly bleed optimism.

Marco Dassi furnishes a version of Blat Runner into a formidable opener. His interpretation is constant and deep, however it cleverly showcases a quirkiness that is particular to Marco’s unique style. Summer (Brendon Collins) repaves Frozen into a mind angling road leading deep into the unexplored subconscious. Unadulterated bass and exotic keys pierce through the barriers. Pysh ends the trip with his classy rendition of Blat Runner. He sprinkles pitched down vocals around the groove and casually shows off his peerless talents behind the board.

Lonya has blazed a path deep into the realms of cunning tech-house music. The compositions explode with talent and craftiness, raining down glowing embers of eerie afterthoughts. Tulipa Recordings gladly welcomes him into the circle.

Chab ft JD Davis -Closer to Me (YunusRemix)

Electronic connoisseur Stephen J. Kroos joins the Tulipa Recordings family with his intrepid Klonck EP. He is well versed in the intricate languages of techno and tech-house. Stephen’s productions shine brightly like a sharp ray of sunlight piercing through watery clouds.

The title track Klonck ignites the body with its humming low end, moaning lead synth, and lopsided groove. Stephen captures the essence of high energy techno and the subtle cleverness of quality tech-house. Klonck works most effectively on a peak hour dance floor. Datt follows, echoing the welcomed pleasures of the previous number. Datt, however, flows in a more minimal vein. Datt abuses acidic structures and houses a library of audio insidiousness. Unik and Eurypteride both drive the EP toward a dramatic pinnacle. Unik ascends into a realm of synthetic techno bliss. Stephen masterfully launches the continuous groove from Unik and drives it into Eurypteride. Spacial reasoning becomes obsolete and the realms of time and place become irrelevent.

Stephen J. Kroos has conquered the art of music and motion. He cautiously rides the line between minimal techno, house, and twisted melodies to showcase a specific sound that lands safely at home with Tulipa Recordings. He has many stories to paint with his music, and Klonck is his grand opening on the imprint.
